Join us for the Tucson Premiere of the new sci-fi thriller GUNHEAVY and the horror short RED DOOR, and meet GUNHEAVY director Angelo Lopes and star Santiago Craig, and RED DOOR director David Pike and star Bilal Mir!

Get ready for a double dose of lethal local film action with this double-barreled double feature of GUNHEAVY and RED DOOR, both shot right here in Tucson!

First up is the creeped-out horror short RED DOOR, from filmmaker David Pike. Todd Transona (Tucson actor Bilal Mir) is having a bad day — a very bad day. Working in an office can be scary enough, but Todd is trapped in an office with a (red) door leading straight to hell, and there’s only one way out. What did Todd do to deserve his horrific fate, and can he outwit his own destiny? Open the red door and find out! RED DOOR blends horror, suspense and drama into a frightening concoction that is sure to make you think twice before opening the next locked door you find. Co-starring Scream Queen Tiffany Shepis (Nightmare Man, Bonnie and Clyde vs. Dracula).

Next, lock and load for the hard-rocking sci-fi/action film GUNHEAVY, from director Angelo Lopes. In a post-apocalyptic dystopian world gone wrong, a world where guns are more prevalent than people, and where every survivor is a soldier for one army or another, each new day brings a new potential battle. After the collapse of civilization, a new world order has been established by a Masonic-type group known as ‘The Founders’. In the not so distant past, a secret robotic gun had been developed by the reviled Republican Commonwealth, who were desperate to take control of the world. But the weapon had a mind of its own and they were unable to control it … and neither were The Founders.
Fearing the massive destructive power of the weapon, a small group of Special Forces soldiers desert the Commonwealth to steal the gun and end its reign of terror. Will their plan succeed, or will they end up as victims of the evil Commonwealth? Impressive digital effects highlight this low-budget, high-tech gun fest set in a plausibly frightening future.

(GUNHEAVY, 2008, Angelo Lopes, 65 mins., Not Rated) (RED DOOR, 2008, David Pike, 34 mins., Not Rated)
